Laurence Stein, D.D.S.
Dr. Laurence Stein is a highly skilled and well trained dentist. Meticulous in his practice, he passionately pursues continuous learning to give his patients the highest quality of care and access to innovations in dentistry. While serious about the practice of dentistry, Dr. Stein is kind, caring and quick with a funny story or comeback.

His easy manner and delightful humor combined with his impressive credentials put even the most anxious patient at ease.

“I am painless and take my time. I pay attention to changes in the industry, techniques and materials so that I can choose the best treatment modalities for my patients needs. You have to sort out the new but untested from new products that not only work but have good long term potential.”

Dr. Stein graduated in the top 10% of his class at Emory University School of Dentistry and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honorary Society. Immediately following graduation he did a one year General Residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital of Cleveland where his training included dentistry, surgery, emergency medicine, general anesthesia, advanced life support and head, neck and dental trauma. Dr. Stein has participated in everything from chipped teeth to gunshot wounds, cardiac arrest and major surgery. He has also completed many hours of training in implant and cosmetic dentistry and occlusion.
An avid spear fisherman and a certified dive master, Dr. Stein has integrated his hobby with his career. He once rescued a diver 80 feet underwater and has published articles for the Diver’s Alert Network, part of Duke University’s School of Medicine / Hyperbaric Medicine and is the dental consultant for Dive Medicine Online.

Married for 30 years, Dr. Stein and his wife have a married 27 year old daughter who he describes as “one of the smartest people I have ever met, and cannot believe that she even shares some of my genes” and an equally talented 24 year old son with an optician’s degree headed to Optometry school.

When not in the office or spending time with family Dr. Stein can be found 10 miles out to sea and 100 feet down. Whether on land or sea, Dr. Stein most enjoys helping people and getting a great end result.
